Context
Geneva benefits from a world-class research ecosystem in infectious diseases and immunology. Through collaboration between Geneva University Hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva, the “Cité de Calvin” has successfully addressed major challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in the face of emerging infectious threats, there is a need to establish an integrated structure capable of responding rapidly to these risks.
Project
This project aims to bring together basic research laboratories and clinicians to rapidly translate scientific discoveries into concrete applications for patients in Switzerland and beyond. The goal is to create a translational research platform in immunovirology and vaccinology, jointly led by Geneva University Hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva, to support and accelerate research projects at the interface between clinical practice and fundamental science.
