The Private Foundation of the HUG is the foundation of the Geneva University Hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva. It dedicates the entirety of the donations it receives, with complete transparency and precision, to financing the fundamental projects that support medical expertise and quality of care for the benefit of all patients.

Fin de projet : Ménager les reins des enfants !

Ce sont en moyenne 5 000 enfants qui sont hospitalisés chaque année aux HUG. Pas moins de 80 % d’entre eux reçoivent un médicament néphrotoxique au moins une fois au cours de leur séjour. Tandis que celui-ci est indispensable pour leur prise en charge, il peut néanmoins fatiguer les reins et augmenter le risque d'insuffisance rénale aiguë (IRA) et de lésions rénales.
